What are my chances of getting the H1N1 virus?
Question presented by a reader: So, a girl just came back to class after missing several days due to have Swine Flu (H1N1 virus) and this morning, I started to feel warm, and have a sore throat. I was just wondering if I possibly could have contracted the virus while she was contagious, before she was too sick.
I have a sore throat, headache, and an off and on warm feeling in my head. No vomiting as of yet.

Yes, you could have contracted the disease - people can spread the illness as many as three days before they start to show symptoms. Hopefully yours will be a mild case...

It could well be swine flu. Don't worry though... remember that it's only flu. 99.9% of people who contact the illness just shake it off. I did. It's no worse than any other strain of flu. Unless you believe all the desperate newspaper selling hype that the media put out...

it's worse than the regular flu, actually. you should go to the doctor and get tamiflu... just tell them you have the symptoms of h1n1 and get on it fast. i was fine saturday night and woke up super sick sunday morning. went to the dr on monday and he put me on antibiotics and a cough medicine, but on wednesday the antibiotics hadn't kicked in so we figured it was viral. went back to the doctor on wednesday with a fever (it's been on and off too) and he put me on tamiflu. i've been on it for a day and i'm starting to feel a little bit better. i'm also on cough medicine with codeine. i've had a hacking cough that gets so bad that when i start coughing a lot i throw up.

Listen please do the following: (1) DO NOT TAKE THE VACCINE it contains a mercury additive that depresses your immune system. In fact all vaccines contain this additive, it is far more important this year to stay away from vaccines and ignore the media as they are full of sh*t. Look online for real source information that is not spread by the public eye. (2) Discover how much vitamin D your body needs. This stuff helps your immunity and will help you fight off sickness if you were to get H1N1. (3) H1N1 mutates so any vaccine for h1n1 will protect only against that strain and will not protect you against mutations which the www.CDC.gov says will likely mutate. (90% chance) You will know if you have a flu, you don't have to ask if you have the flu. The flu is unmistakeably the worse you will ever feel. (4) If you do vomit and continue to do so for more than two days you are in danger of Electrolyte imbalance which COULD kill you. I highly recommend that you see a doctor if two days past and you can not. (A) KEEP a substantial amount of fluids down, Do not down water, snack on ice chips or buy crunched ice and snack on those. It is better to take small amounts of fluids that you can hold down. Eat/drink foods that are rich in potassium and a good source of nutrients. When in fear, seek true health care advice. go to www.ronpaul.com to look up information about the swine flu and what Doctor Ron Paul thinks of this virus. Also go to www.infowars.com a great website with non-censored news so you know your getting the honest to god truth. GOOD HEALTH, KEEP SAFE, and don't worry to much.
